Buckingham Palace broken into by anti-monarchy mob posing as tourists before taking snap

Anti-monarchy protesters posing as tourists managed to break into Buckingham Palace.

The group, from group Republic, posed for a photo inside the palace, each wearing a top with a single letter on, to spell out the phrase “Not my king”.

“This is a fantastic moment for republicans nationwide, with a group of normal citizens standing up for democracy in the adopted home of the Monarchy,” they captioned the photograph.

“But, it wouldn’t have been possible without members of our Local Groups, who made up the protest today. Join your nearest to get involved in republican activism!”

Security detained six of those involved before they were escorted out through the front gate.
