British boy drowns in swimming pool on family holiday in Cyprus


A British boy has tragically drowned in a hotel swimming pool during a family holiday in Cyprus.

The young boy, aged six, was from Inverness.

He reportedly died after being found unconscious floating in the pool by his mother.

He was pulled from the water by a lifeguard and taken to the Paphos General Hospital by an ambulance on October 6.

Doctors first praised the first aid efforts of staff at the hotel for saving his life. He was then taken to the Makario Children’s Hospital in Nicosia, which around 90 miles away, for further specialised treatment, reported Mirror
