Dr Mike Lynch, once known as “Britain’s Bill Gates”, has been extradited to the US as he is set to stand trial over the $11bn sale of his firm Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard.
The businessman denies all the charges brought against him – including fraud. He is expected to stand trial soon.
Dr Lynch is accused of overinflating the value of his company before he sold it 12 years ago to HP.
The Home Office confirmed Dr Lynch had been extradited to the US on Thursday.
