Britain to be lashed by rain and strong winds for DAYS as Atlantic cold front hits

Today is set to be the mildest day for a while as although there may be some isolated showers in parts of eastern England and Scotland’s higher ground, many regions will remain dry.

Western areas will experience a cloudy afternoon, but the Midlands, East Anglia, and southern England will continue to bask in sunshine until the evening.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland will experience a shift in weather conditions, as another rain band moves in from the west, resulting in a wet afternoon and evening.

Inland areas of the South-East will enjoy relatively warmer temperatures, reaching around 20C, compared to the previous day.

However, the mild weather will not last long as on Monday, the majority of the country can expect a “washout”.
