A bride-to-be planned epic revenge on her fiance after she discovered that he was cheating on her. The devastated woman got the shocking news the night before the couple was to get married.
The couple had been in a relationship for six years, however, she didn’t have any idea that the man she loved was seeing someone else behind her back.
Recounting her experience to Body and Soul, the woman, who remained anonymous, explained that she had been staying in a hotel with some friends when she had the shocking revelation.
As she was having fun with her friends, a message on her phone popped up. She picked up the phone thinking it would be another congratulatory message, however, it includes a series of screenshots of messages that her fiancé had sent to the sender, with the message: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”
She read through all of the messages on the screenshots between her fiancé and the mystery woman, including selfies of them together.
From the dates on the messages, the woman could see that the affair had been going on for months and shockingly, some of the messages were from just days before.
One message read: “This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.”
Another said: “Your body is f***ing incredible. And s*** do you know how to use it,” while a third said: “I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”
One message was them planning a getaway together, and he had also told the woman, who she explained looked like her exact opposite, that he had “never had this kind of connection before”.
She further said that she had burst into tears and showed her friends, who said she should call her fiancé immediately and call the wedding out – but instead she decided to plot an epic revenge.
She was going to go ahead with the wedding, and then “out” him in front of all his friends and family instead.
She explained: “I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume.
“As he saw my face he knew this was not an ecstatic woman on her big day, but he had no idea what was coming. I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath and I faced our friends, our parents and I told them the truth […]”.
The shock was visible on the crowd when she announced: “There will be no wedding today”. She added that it seemed her fiancé was “not who I thought he was”.
She then pulled out her phone and read every word of the messages that had been sent to her the night before, causing him to walk out of the church without saying a word.
The bride had continued: “There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
According to the newly-single bride, she went on to enjoy a “hell of a party”.
