Boyfriend Jake's heartfelt message to Idaho stabbing victim Madison Mogen, 21

The boyfriend of a young student stabbed to death in her Idaho home has taken to social media to tell his former girlfriend how much he is missing her.

Madison Mogen, 21, was one of four students from the University of Idaho killed on the same day at an off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, last year.

Suspect Bryan Kohberger, 28, will face trial later this year on four counts of first-degree murder.

The other students killed were Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.

This week, Madison’s boyfriend Jake Schriger took to social media to remember the second anniversary of their relationship.

In an Instagram post, he shared: “Happy 2 year, Maddie!! I miss you so much.

“I wish I could spoil you today but I’m sending extra hugs and kisses to heaven. I love you!!!”

Schriger has been struggling to come to terms with Madison’s death last November.

In an earlier Instagram post, he wrote: “I will forever cherish the adventures that we got to experience together. More than you will ever know. I love you more than anything, Maddie.”

Kohberger is set to return to court a month earlier than expected as the parents of one of the victims fight a gag order.

Judge Megan Marshall set a date of May 25 for the hearing.

Kohberger is later due in the Latah County Courthouse for a preliminary hearing on June 28, where his defense is expected to challenge the evidence against him.
