Boy, four, and two women die in tragic late night crash with three others hurt


A four-year-old boy and two women have all died after a crash on a rural road on Wednesday night. The three people were travelling in a Ford Focus when it collided with an Audi A7. A 32-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman and a four-year old were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash near Bewdley, Worcestershire at around 10.15pm. Three people travelling in the Audi were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Birmingham Live reports that the crash occurred on the A456 near the Duke William pub in Callow Hill and the injured passengers were taken to Worcester Royal Hospital. 

Police are appealing for information about the collision, including any deash-cam footage that could help their investigation.

Officers remain in the area to carry out their investigation as the road is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day. 

Inspector Stephanie Arrowsmith, Operations Policing unit, said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the loved ones of the people who died in the collision. I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dash-cam footage which may help with the investigation to call the investigating officers.”
