Boy, 3, shoots two people – including a murder suspect – with one bullet

A thee-year-old boy shot two people – one of whom was a murder suspect – with a single bullet, police in the US have said.

The incident in Lafayette, Indiana, led to the arrest of a man wanted on suspicion of a murder in Illinois, local police revealed. Trayshaun Smith, 23, was arrested after he went to hospital with a gunshot wound on Thursday, said Lt. Justin Hartman of the Lafayette Police Department.

“It was determined that a three-year-old child at that location accessed a gun and fired one round striking two people,” said Lt  Hartman.  The two injured people – Smith and child’s mother – were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital.
