Boy, 14, stabbed to death in Manchester named and pictured for first time


A 14-year-old boy at the centre of a murder investigation has been named for the first time as tributes continue to pour in.

Nathanial Shani was stabbed in Harpurhey in Manchester on Friday, September 15, with floral tributes being left at the scene off Tavistock Square.

Another 14-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned by murder detectives this afternoon, September 16.

The tight-knit community has been devastated by the loss, with a GoFundMe page being set up in order to provide help for his family.

Friends and loved ones have posted tributes on TikTok and Facebook, with one calling Nathaniel “the funniest person in the world”.
