Boy, 10, killed by gang of savage monkeys in deadly attack as organs ripped out

A 10-year-old boy has met a tragic end after being attacked and fatally mauled by a group of monkeys in the Indian village of Salki, Gujarat.

The vicious assault happened on Tuesday while the young boy was playing with his friends near a temple.

According to police reports, the aggressive primates targeted Dipak Thakor, tearing into his torso in a brutal attack.

Despite efforts to save him, the animals disemboweled him, causing severe injuries to his intestines.

The child was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before medical treatment could be administered. Authorities are actively searching for the monkeys involved in the attack.

An official statement regarding the incident read: “His intestine was ripped out in the attack.

“He rushed to his house and was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.”

Shockingly, this is not an isolated event in Salki, as officials confirmed multiple monkey attacks within the village over the past week. The tragic incident marked the third such attack in seven days.

Forestry officials in the area revealed ongoing efforts to capture a “large troop” of monkeys that have been causing havoc in the settlement.

According to Press Trust of India (PTI), some of the animals have been successfully captured, while others remain at large.

Vishal Chaudhary, a forest official, said: “We have rescued two langurs in the past one week and set up cages to trap another langur. There is a large troop of monkeys in the village, including four adults who have been involved in attacks in the past one week.

“Two of them have been rescued. Efforts are on to cage another.”
