Boxer on KSI vs Tommy Fury undercard looks unrecognisable after losing almost five stone

A social media star who is set to feature on the undercard of Tommy Fury v KSI on Saturday night has revealed that he has lost almost five stone in weight since his last fight. Celebrity fight fans will be chomping at the bit when Misfits boxing boss KSI faces Fury and Manchester’s AO Arena on October 14 shortly after another huge star – Logan Paul – slugs it out in the ring with MMA fighter Dillon Danis.

But before the mega double headline bill ringwalks begin, there is a full undercard of action for viewers to feast on. One of the fighters on the Prime Card is influencer Salt Papi who has been pitted against Slim Albaher.

Papi, whose real name is Nathaniel Bustamante, can boast over 5.3million followers on TikTok and 588,000 subscribers on YouTube. He is looking to bounce back after losing his last fight to Anthony Taylor.

But at lot has changed since then and it’s mainly to do with the social media star’s appearance. Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast on Wednesday, Papi explained how he has lost 30kg since his last fight and has never been in better condition.

The Filipino star said: “I’m feeling very good and I’m ready to fight on Saturday night. Most of the influencers are scared to fight me, that’s why I’ve been fighting professional fighters. That’s why I lost [last time].

“But this time on Saturday night I’m gonna be fighting another influencer, so we’ll see how it goes. It’s like wrestling, but it’s real boxing, we actually put in the work.

“I lost a lot of weight for this fight, about 30kg (4 stone 10lbs). I was quite overweight last year, but because of boxing I put in the work. I was like nearly over 100kg (15 stone 10lbs) last year. Now I’m nearly 70kg (11 stone). Boxing is all I do now, boxing saved my life.”

Salt Papi has a 3-1 record in boxing so far, recording two wins via knockout before he was beaten by Taylor in May. His opponent at the AO Arena on Saturday is also a YouTuber. Albaher currently boasts an undefeated 6-0 record in boxing.

The contest is expected to be one of the most exciting on the Misfits Boxing event undercard before the support acts make way for Logan Paul and Dillon Danis with Tommy Fury and KSI on last.

Salt Papi wrote on Instagram: “This fight is going to be explosive.”
