Boris vote in full: How every MP voted on Partygate report and who abstained

The House of Commons has released the list of names of MPs who voted on the motion to pass the report on Boris Johnson compiled by the privileges committee finding he committed five contempt of parliament offences. Commons members voted tonight on whether to accept the findings from the committee’s investigation on the former Prime Minister’s conduct during the “Partygate” controversy. The lower chamber recorded votes in total, with resounding support for accepting the results, but hundreds more MPs – primarily Conservatives – decided to abstain.

Results posted by the House of Commons this evening showed that, in total, only 358 of 650 sitting MPs participated today after House Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle ordered the report go to a vote.

The vast majority of those who voted decided to approve the findings from the report, with 352 “ayes” or yes votes, and six “noes” or no votes.

But a sizeable minority also decided to abstain, and not vote at all, with House of Commons recorders marking “no vote recorded” for 225 members, most of whom were Conservative Party members.

They wouldn’t have prevented the report from going through had they voted, and now it has passed, Mr Johnson risks losing his pass giving him permanent access to Parliament’s grounds.

See how MPs voted on the Partygate report below…
