Body recovered from North Sea with four still missing after British cargo ship sinks


A man’s body has been recovered from the North Sea after a huge 300ft long British cargo ship sank this morning.

Four people remain missing after it collided with another boat in the North Sea off the German coast.

Two people have been rescued as teams continue to frantically search for more survivors, according to the German Sea Rescue society.

The ships, Polesie and Verity, crashed in the early morning about 22 kilometres (14 miles) southwest of the island of Helgoland, according to Germany’s Central Command for Maritime Emergencies.
