Body language expert claims August Brooksbank will be ‘protective’ over his new brother

Princess Eugenie announced on Monday that she had given birth to a boy named Ernest Brooksbank on May 30, 2023.

Ernest is now the younger brother of August Brooksbank, two, who was born on February 9, 2021.

The new royal baby’s full name is Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank and weighed 7.1lbs when he was born, according to the Princess of York.

Eugenie shared two pictures on social media of the royal baby – one alone and one with his older brother August.

In the second photograph, royal fans could see August leaning over a cot with Ernest sleeping inside as he watched.

Judi James, a professional body language expert, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk to explain how August acted in this “natural” photograph.

She claimed: “Eugenie is very good at producing very natural, down-to-earth and non-royal photos of her family for social media.

“These photographs seem to give a very real insight into her life and her warm, loving family.”

According to the body language expert, August made a “protective” gesture towards his new younger brother.

Judi opined: “This touching photo of her new baby shows his sibling August peering into the crib.

“The two-year-old royal toddler places a very gentle, protective hand on his brother’s head.”

According to Judi, when August performed this gesture, many positive emotions showed up on his little face.

She explained: “August’s eyes are on his new brother and he looks excited and slightly in awe.”

Princess Eugenie was heavily pregnant at King Charles’s Coronation and fans had been waiting on news of a royal baby for some time.

On Monday she wrote on Instagram: “Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.

“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already.”

The family of four are said to live in Ivy Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, just a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace.
