On his short walk to Marine One, whose rotors were whirring in the background on the South Lawn of the White House, President Biden paused to speak to reporters who asked if he intended to fix the crisis at the border. He replied, “I’ve done all I can do. Just give me the power. I’ve asked from the very day I got into office. Give me the Border Patrol. Give me the people, the judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right.”
Aside from obviously trying to avoid an actual press conference by trying to speak over deafening background noise, he also is not being truthful with the American people. If he, as President of the United States, doesn’t have enough power, who does he think is going to give more power to him?
President Biden has everything he needs to solve the problems we are facing except for one thing – the will to do so. Biden can solve the countless challenges domestically and threats globally, but he chooses not to. And needs to acknowledge he caused them in the first place. Intentionally.
The border crisis began the first week of Biden’s presidency when he reversed the policies of the Trump administration. Under Donald Trump the border was secure, the nation was safe, and citizenship meant something. Biden has devalued citizenship to the point that now, in certain instances, breaking the law and entering the nation illegally brings privilege, not punishment. Americans see this – and detest it.
The Senate has been talking about a “deal” on closing the border and the House is getting closer to impeaching Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, yet none of this will change the situation until Joe Biden changes his mind, changes his policies, or this president changes. Republicans should not take the bait and join in supporting this disastrous border bill. If they do, they will share the responsibility, which currently is owned exclusively by Joe and Co.
As tensions escalate in the Middle East, the White House says they are watching the conflict closely with concern, yet again, they are the ones causing the escalation. Both with inaction when the first 165 attacks occurred on our bases and troops, and with the weakness of American leadership which caused Hamas to attack Israel in the first place.
Now that three brave Americans have been killed, Biden is finally taking action. It wasn’t as if the Iranian proxies didn’t intend to kill American troops earlier, it was that circumstances prevented them from succeeding. So why did Biden wait until now to respond? It was a matter of when, not if, an American would be killed. Yet Biden retreated. Waited. And not surprisingly, the consequences were eventually deadly.
Biden and his administration have all parroted the same talking points of, “we don’t seek conflict with Iran,” “we don’t want to see a widening in the region,” “we don’t want war with Iran.” Yet through ongoing attacks on our troops, it is clear Iran wants conflict, a widening, and war. We don’t get to opt out and say, “no thank you.” Iran didn’t heed the one-word Biden warning of “Don’t.” They have not been deterred. Iran is at war with America whether or not Joe Biden and his cast of cowards admit it.
Yet as this conflict in the Middle East escalates with or without Biden acknowledgment, we simultaneously are allowing people from the Middle East to come across our southern border illegally – by the tens of thousands. They are not vetted, not known to us, nor are their intentions. Biden’s own FBI Director, Christopher Wray said, “I see blinking red lights everywhere” when asked about the current level of unprecedented threat of terrorism in the US. It’s frightening to think about who is here, where they are, and what they intend to do. Are they waiting for orders? Timing? They have the potential to do untold harm. The border crisis and subsequent failures to enforce the laws of our nation will bring damage and danger for years to come.
We saw last week that a group of illegal immigrants attacked New York City police officers in Times Square. These migrants are not innocent families in search of a new and better life, they are predominantly young, strong, healthy, military age men. Democrats have welcomed them in and are foolishly placing them in schools, in airports, and near major tourist areas. What do they expect will happen? They are encouraging and facilitating illegal and dangerous behavior without regard for the safety of Americans.
Joe Biden and his Democrat allies need to answer for why they are giving preference to those who break the law and bring violence and chaos to the United States. And why does this administration continue to go after those who oppose lawlessness and don’t want the nation changed in ways they haven’t asked for and don’t approve of?
Joe Biden and the Democrats cannot solve these problems because they have facilitated them, welcomed them, and caused them. The solution cannot come from the problem itself.
