Beatrice and Eugenie hailed for 'embracing imperfections' despite being publicly mocked

Like many members of the Royal Family, the York sisters have faced criticism and, unfortunately, been mocked over the years.

However, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been hailed for the way in which they have “embraced” adversity and their “imperfections” by royal commentators.

Hosts of Podcast Royal, Rachel Burchfield and Jessica Robinson, discussed the way the two royals have turned negatives into a positive.

Ms Burchfield said: “The York sisters, in particular Beatrice, break barriers in ways that are more subdued that you might not know… They embrace their imperfections and that’s really inspiring everyone to do the same.”

Both Princesses, in particular Beatrice, were “mercilessly picked on” for the hats, designed by the famous Philip Treacy, they wore to the Prince and Princess of Wales’s wedding in 2011.

When tying the knot with her now husband Jack Brooksbank of five years, Ms Burchfield noted the way her dress “showed off” her scar.

Her gorgeous Peter Pilotto gown’s open back — a detail she always wanted — meant that the scar she got from scoliosis surgery she had at age 12.

According to People, Eugenie explained: “I had always wanted a low back — part of it was showing my scar, and I believe scars tell a story about your past and your future, and it’s a way of getting rid of a taboo.

“For me, it’s a way of communicating with people who are going through either similar situations with scoliosis or having a scar of their own that they are trying to deal with.”
