BBC apologise after porn noises interrupt World Indoor Bowls Championships match

The highly-anticipated World Indoors Bowls Championship semi-final between Stewart Anderson and Harry Goodwin was marred by the latest porn noise prank on Saturday afternoon. BBC viewers were left surprised when play was disrupted near the start of the clash due to a sudden flurry of moans at Potters Resort.

Anderson and Goodwin faced off on BBC 2 for a place in the World Indoors Bowls Championship final.

There was an air of anticipation and excitement at the start of the match amongst the jam-packed crowd at Potters Resort.

But tension soon melted as the same porn noises that have made headlines during high-profile televised events in the past struck again.

Many of the crowd burst into laughter when the all too familiar prank took effect in the first set of the match just after the start of the second end.

Anderson and Goodwin both appeared to share a chuckle about the sound-bombing while commentator David Corkill attempted to explain the hiccup.

He said: “Well, we have a problem somewhere. Hopefully, they’ll get it sorted out pretty quickly. It sounds like a sound issue. Sometimes these things happen, it’s all the joy of live sport.”
