Ashley Cole marries his fiancé in extraordinary Italian wedding

Former footballer Ashely Cole has married his fiancé in an extraordinary Italian wedding.

Mr Cole, 42, married Sharon, the mother of his two children in front of a star-studded array of wedding guests.

Mr Cole’s friends took to social media to post about the celebrations in Rome, Italy, as photos revealed the bride’s wedding dress.

The couple exchanged their vows at a seaside venue beneath a huge flowered arch as the former Premier League footballer and his fiancé tied the knot.

As they walked away from the stand, the couple held hands as they were covered in confetti.

A second video clip shows their Saturday night party which included hits from The Greatest Showman and a firework display.

Another highlight of the ceremony came from Ashley Cole’s former teammate and best friend, John Terry.

Mr Terry reportedly jumped on stage to serenade the couple and sang his version of John Legend’s All Of Me.

Mr Terry was seen dancing and singing along to a pianist at the time.

Mr Cole’s marriage comes 13 years after he split from singer Cheryl Cole.

The couple originally began dating in 2004, married in 2006, but divorced in 2010.

Mr Cole got engaged to Sharon last year after they first met in 2014.

Speaking to the Sun, a source said: “Ashley and Sharon are madly in love and have spent months planning their special day.

“They met in 2014 when he joined AS Roma and now they are returning to the city for their nuptials.

“Loads of her family live there and it’s very romantic – it’s going to be a very special day.

“They have put lots of money into it but they have only invited close friends and family.”
