Are you worried Vladimir Putin will invade another country?

Recent weeks have seen a series of warnings from officials, military bosses and politicians alike that World War Three could be on the horizon.

Among the countries particularly kicking their military into high gear are those near Russia – including Sweden, Lithuania, and the Baltic regions. German newspaper Bild quoted a European intelligence official in December 2023 as saying that Russia could launch an assault on NATO members such as Poland, Estonia, Romania, or Lithuania by winter 2024.

Defence secretary Grant Shapps recently suggested the UK is now in a pre-war, rather than post-war, phase, and former Army chief General Sir Patrick Sanders has pressured the Government to increase its spending on our armed forces.

While Putin has denied any intentions of invading anywhere beyond Ukraine, his word has been proven to be worth very little.

Now Express.co.uk is asking its readers whether they are worried that Putin will invade another country.

Let us know your thoughts in the poll below.

Making a passionate plea for further support at the UN Security Council last year, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky made the startling claim that the UN would not be able to prevent Putin from invading another nation.

The despot continues to define his full-scale invasion of Ukraine, now having raged for nearly two years, as a “special military operation”.

The despot also denied any intention to move troops into Ukraine even as tanks and soldiers lined up along its border with Belarus days before the war began.

Putin claims it is “complete nonsense” that he would invade a NATO country in the future.

His comments came after US President Joe Biden warned that if Russia achieved victory in Ukraine, he may be emboldened to then attack a NATO ally – which would surely plunge the world into World War Three.

“It is complete nonsense – and I think President Biden understands that,” Putin told state television channel Rossiya.

“Russia has no reason, no interest – no geopolitical interest, neither economic, political nor military – to fight with NATO countries.”
