Archie and Lilibet titles hang in balance until Harry and Meghan 'stop lobbing salvos'

King Charles will not make a decision on royal titles for Archie and Lilibet until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “stop lobbing salvos into the palace”, it has been claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children are entitled to be made a Prince and Princess now their grandfather is King.

But a royal insider claimed Charles will not make a decision until Harry and Meghan, who are living in the US after quitting royal duties, stop hitting out at the royals.

They told the Daily Mail: “Anything to do with his grandchildren will be decided once they [Harry and Meghan] stop lobbing salvos into the palace.

“No decision or pronouncement can be made on that issue until the King is confident that the decision he makes can withstand any activity on either side in the long term — and they are not in that place right now.

“Monarchs move with great caution and reflection and there is no obligation to rush. The King will, of course, need to make a decision at some point — but the Sussexes’ activity is still so changeable that it’s just hard to take any firm decisions at this stage.”

It comes after the release of Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix show, while the Duke’s tell-all memoir is out in the new year.
