Angry scenes as police and teenage protesters clash during pro-Palestine rally

Teenage pro-Palestine protesters have clashed with police officers in central London as thousands take to the streets in support of Gaza.

Young demonstrators, including one holding a Palestine flag and another wearing a sports shirt with “Palestine” written on its back, were filmed pushing Metropolitan Police officers.

One officer is heard saying “don’t f***king push me” as they push the teenagers back.

One of the young men appears to scream: “F***k you (inaudible word).”

The footage, taken by vlogger Paul Brown, emerged as the Metropolitan Police announced it will be using Section 60AA powers to identify protesters who set off fireworks and flares.

Section 60AA, which was activated prior to today’s protest, requires a person to remove items such as masks that might be used to conceal their identity.

The police power covers areas shown in the map of Central London below until 10 pm.

More than 1,000 police officers have been deployed, but no arrests have been reported so far.
