'Angry' Melania 'lives in ivory tower of denial' and will stay silent on Trump arrest

Melania Trump “lives in an ivory tower of denial” and will not be drawn into commenting on Donald Trump’s legal woes, former best friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff said. The former First Lady skipped out on her husband’s first major speech since turning himself in to Manhattan’s prosecutors on Tuesday despite nearly all his family heading to Mar-a-Lago to support him. Winston Wolkoff insisted silence is Melania “weapon of choice” and she remains very “angry” about the situation.

Talking about Melania’s speech snub, the former aide said: “I never expected to see her there. Her silence is deliberate, it is her weapon of choice and her protective armour.

“Of course she knows about Donald’s affairs, she knows everything. But her silence is her dignity.

“She will stand by her husband, as she always does. I don’t think Melania is humiliated by his affairs — but she is angry.”

But despite the alleged anger Melania is feeling about her husband’s private life being open to public scrutiny, Winston Wolkoff said the former First Lady will not be leaving him.

She claimed Melania was fully aware of what marrying Donald would entail and is privately insisting “people are just jealous”.

Speaking to Page Six, she added: “Still she isn’t leaving him. This is a transactional marriage, she knew what she was getting into when she married Donald.

“Her means of survival is to just act like it never happened. Privately, Melania says people are just jealous, and she hoped the Stormy Daniels scandal would be swept under the carpet.

“Her way of coping is to never let her feelings show or affect her. I predict we will see her back at his side at the next social event at Mar-a-Lago.”

“But I have a great family and they’ve done a fantastic job, and we appreciate it very much. They’ve gone through hell.”

Eric Trump and Donald Jr were also in attendance with their half-sister Tiffany and their respective partners, Lara Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Michael Boulos.

A source told People last month that Melania is “leading her own life, and still feels happy being at Mar-a-Lago, surrounded by people who love her and who never talk about reality, or bad things about her husband”.

She has reportedly built a wall around her, with the insider saying she has forbidden anyone from mentioning the alleged payments to Stormy Daniels.

They added: ” She is aware of who her husband is and keeps her life upbeat with her own family and a few close friends.”
