Andy Murray smashes racket and fumes at camera operator to move in sickening defeat

Having been aware of De Minaur’s stellar record over Murray that can only be matched by the ‘Big Three’, the veteran admitted that he had been looking at specifically what he needs to do differently in order to break his duck.

“Last couple of matches with him have obviously, yeah, been pretty one-sided,” Murray said in the build-up to the tournament. “If I do come up against him in a couple of weeks, I will obviously need to look at that and see what I can do differently.”

But he was unable to make those required adjustments and instead, the world No 12 will next face second seed Daniil Medvedev or Tommy Paul in the second round after his battling victory over Murray.
