Andy Murray baffled by interviewer's strange question after first win since October

Andy Murray struggled to answer one question in his post-match interview after claiming his first victory since October. After six consecutive defeats, the Brit defeated Alexandre Muller 6-1, 7-6 at the Qatar Open and was beaming on the court as he was quizzed by a reporter.

But bizarrely Murray was put on the spot and had his memory tested, when asked if he remembered who his second-round opponent was in his first tournament in Doha in 2006.

Murray was lost and confused as he struggled to come up with the name, asking if the tournament in question was when he was 18. The interviewer confirmed that Murray had the correct year but as the 36-year-old continued to stumble in an awkward silence, it was revealed that the interviewer had asked a “trick question” and Murray did not compete in that edition.
