American leaves Britons in stitches with hilarious reaction to 'ridiculous' English meal

An American took to social media to try a British staple and his reaction is leaving his audience in stitches.

The foodie, who goes by Thee Lit One on TikTok, decided to try a Wigan Kebab for the first time.

The TikToker says he “loves the UK” food and culture and regularly provides his audience with updates trying UK delicacies. His videos have garnered more than 620K likes with 76K followers.

In one of his most recent clips, the foodie showed his audience his attempt at a Northern Staple: a Wigan Kebab.

Pulling out a frozen steak pie, he said: “We’re making a ‘Wee-gan, Wigan Kebab today.”

While waiting for the pie to cook, he told his audience how much he loved Britain. The TikToker even has a GoFundMe called “Get TheeLitOne to the UK”.

Once cooked, the TikToker pulled out some “homemade” gravy before placing the steak pie between two brioche buns as opposed to traditional barm cake.

He said: “Don’t be disappointed in me man I looked everywhere – I went to three bakeries and four stores – they did not have that bread that y’all normally put this on.”

The TikToker added: “Bro this is literally insane y’all put anything between bread its ridiculous. This is a whole meal between bread.”

After tasting the dish, the Tiktoker’s reaction left his audience in stitches.

He said in disbelief: “Oh man, that’s delicious. This is super messy, I’m gonna dip it in the gravy.

“This is probably one of the best things I’ve tried, no doubt it’s super messy but it’s good.”

After the northern staple got the thumbs up from across the pond, fans of the channel responded to the American’s hilarious take on the dish.

One fan wrote: “Yeah we will put absolutely anything in between bread – it’s what we do.”

Another agreed: “Pie sandwich, pot noodle sandwich, crisp sandwich. We have no boundaries!”

A third fan from Wigan wrote: “Haha yes lad! when you get over ‘ere then Galloways in Wigan is the place to go!”

Others lamented the lack of sides with one fan writing: “Brother please do a toad in the hole most likely have already if so tag me I’m keen to see.”

More fans encouraged the foodie to try other British meals, with one writing: “Brother please do a toad in the hole most likely have already if so tag me I’m keen to see.”
