Adam Rich dead: Star of 'Eight is Enough' dies aged 54


Adam Rich, star of US comedy ‘Eight is Enough’ has died aged 54, TMZ reports. A family member reportedly told the outlet Adam died on Saturday night at his LA home. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed but police said there was no “foul play”. Law enforcement said police had visited his home and found the actor dead on Saturday. 

Eight is Enough aired for five seasons from 19777 to 1981. 

Adam also starred in shows such as Code Red, and Dungeons and Dragons as well as the film, The City in 1997. 

He later made the decision to step away from Hollywood to “stay out of the limelight” and opt for a more private life.

Adam was born on October 12, 1968 in Brooklyn NewYork and began acting after learning from a drama teacher at Chatsworth High School. 

Throughout his career Adam was linked to substance abuse, which lead to an arrest in 1991, after he broke a pharmacy window in order to steal drugs
