Jamie Dutton (played by Wes Bentley) is still Yellowstone’s most hated character heading into the Western drama’s upcoming fourth season. As production wraps in Montana, the Paramount series’ Instagram account has released a sinister new shot of the adopted Dutton which may set him up as the ranch’s biggest threat so far.
The fourth season of Yellowstone could be about to send Jamie Dutton down an even darker path.
Following the shocking events of season three, Jamie has only just learnt that his father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), actually adopted him.
Having kept his true parentage secret for all these years, the young attorney was in for a shock when he finally confronted his biological dad, Garrett Randall (Will Patton).
Jamie has never felt at home with his adopted family, and could reach new levels of self-destruction when Yellowstone returns for its fourth season.

Now, a new social media post seems to have confirmed theories that Jamie will be playing more of a villainous role in the upcoming instalment.
The show’s official Instagram posted: “Even the clouds around Jamie are ominous.”
Their post accompanied a new shot of Wes Bentley as Jamie from behind-the-scenes, looking conflicted as he leans against a fencepost.
His dark look, misplaced pinstripe suit and sinister storm clouds all seem to point to Jamie taking on a new role as the series’ main antagonist next season.
One fan praised Bentley’s performance and said: “What an actor to make everyone dislike him! Brilliant job!”
While another joked: “Love the picture. Can we Photoshop Jamie out of it?!”
Meanwhile, other viewers agreed Jamie made himself very suspicious after his chat with Garrett Randall towards the end of the last season.
Randall admitted to his son that he killed Jamie’s mother, and appeared to imply he should do the same to John if he wanted control over the Yellowstone Ranch.
