Will Tom Ellis star in Constantine reboot on HBO?

Constantine in the new series is rumoured to be linked to HBO Max’s Justice League Dark series which is also being produced by JJ Abrams.

Justice League Dark is a fictional superhero team who appear in several DC Comic book series.

The Justice League Dark originally featured  John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade: The Changing Man, and Zatanna.

Variety reported the new series will focus on a younger version of John Constantine and JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot production company are looking for a “young, diverse take on the character”, reports Comic Book Resources.

The reboot will also stick close to the original DC comics compared to the 2005 film and 2014 NBC series.

According to Deadline, British writer, Guy Bolten, has written the pilot script with plans to open a writers room in March.
