The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for July 28 through Aug. 4, including a Jeep recall involving 99,186 units and a Toyota recall involving 75,316 units. If you want to find out if there has been a recall for your specific make, model and year, you can search the NHTSA database using your VIN (vehicle identification number), which can be found in the lower lefthand corner of your windshield as well as on your car registration or insurance card. If you don’t have it saved on your phone, it would be smart to do so.
