He recently insisted he is not not starving himself and is ‘happy and healthy’ after fans grew worried by his slimmed-down appearance.

And Joey Turner sparked concern once again on Thursday as he shared a photo of himself wearing a skeleton T-shirt on Instagram.

The former TOWIE star, 20, teamed the eye-raising top with tight black leather trousers and captioned his photos: ‘I love you to the bones.’

In another image, he gave a close-up of his slimmed down legs, with the TV personality also carrying a brown tote bag in the snaps.

Joey, who weighs 7.5 stone, further showed off his look, and his newly dyed platinum locks, on his Instagram stories as she posed this way and that for the camera.

His post, as with many of his of late, was met with a barrage of comments from followers expressing concern over his slender physique.

Speaking to The Sun  recently to set the record straight, Joey said: ‘I weigh seven and half stone, but I don’t weigh myself. I don’t care about how much I weigh. I am skinny, I can’t help that I am skinny. I am not going to apologise to anyone.’

In Instagram posts of late, the reality star has appeared slimmer than usual, something which his 37,400 followers quickly noted.

However, Joey, who at 5ft 11ins has ‘always had a long, thin frame’, reaffirmed that there was nothing to worry about, seeing as he eats what he believes is a healthy diet.

During a typical day, Joey will enjoy a bowl of Special K, a salad for lunch and sushi for dinner. When out, he drinks vodka with water.

‘I don’t eat loads. I am not really a foodie, that’s not me being anorexic, I just don’t care to participate in gluttony,’ he remarked.

The fashion lover – who said that his friends and family are aware of his eating habits and are not worried – questioned the double standards of body positivity, rhetorically asking if it just applies for bigger people.

Of the concern sparked about his thinner frame, Joey said he did understand, but has no intention of censoring his content and instead wants to embrace his body.

‘To put it bluntly – I can’t help being skinny. I am happy, healthy and have supportive people around me,’ he concluded.

The healthy and happy claims come after Joey hit back at fans who expressed concern at his appearance.

The TV star, who left The Only Way Is Essex five months ago, sparked worry among his followers with slender modelling shots captioned with the word ‘heroin’.

Joey faced the blacklash and said he was ‘not a role model’ as well as sharing a snap of Kirsten Dunst dressed as Marie Antoinette with the caption: ‘let them eat cake.’

In a separate statement, Joey defended his modelling photos and said: ‘I am not your role model.

‘If I’m honest I’m not phased by the comments, I just want those who are about me to know I’m okay.

‘I don’t care about the comments simply because it’s hard to care for the opinions of people that know nothing about me, my diet, my metabolism or my medical history with my weight.

‘I’m a 20-year-old student, I’m not on TV. I’m a student like any other and I am not your role model, so if you want someone to look up to I suggest putting someone else on a pedestal because I am not him.’

In one of the black and white snaps, Joey wore ripped tights, a crop top and socks and gazed at the camera.

In others, he perched on a wall, wearing snakeskin trousers and a tiger print top, before slipping into a black dress, accessorising with a cross chain and balaclava mask.

He had a slimmer appearance to his TV appearances last year, and one worried fan commented: ‘The more you post the more concerned I am getting’

Another said: ‘TOWIE friends please check he is ok.’ A third wrote: ‘Very very sad.’

A representative for Joey and ITV have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

In his statement released upon leaving the show he wrote: ‘After two and a half years of being on the show, I have decided to take a step back and create a new path for myself.

‘I started the show when I was 17 years old after being approached by producers asking if I was interested in being on TV.

‘Like any other 17-year-old would have done, I said yes and so I quit studying and started filming.

‘Even though I was basically a child when I started I have had the most fun experience and made so many amazing friends.

‘I am incredibly grateful for the entire experience and now it’s time for the next chapter.’
