Fourteen-year-old singer Hailey Mia was saved to compete in next week’s live show during the final moments of Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice on NBC.
Mia, the youngest person in the competition, was stunned when her name was called and walked over to hug her coach Kelly Clarkson, 39.
The talented teenager had just performed Jar Of Hearts by Christina Perri.

Before the votes were tabulated from the save, Kelly, 39, told Hailey after hearing her perform that she was an incredibly talented singer.
‘I’m so impressed by you,’ she said. ‘I remember being a 14-year-old singer and I didn’t sound like you. You are an incredible vocalist.’
Hailey was just one of the contestants that moved on to compete in next week’s live show. In the show’s top 20 portion of the competion, the top two artists from each team with the most votes immediately advanced to the live show. The coaches were then able to save one of their artists.
The remaining artists on each team that had the most votes were able to compete for a wild card spot, but they would also have beat out the comeback artist, which was selected by the viewers.

Before the competition got heated, Paris Hilton, 40, appeared on the show to tell the audience about her new show Paris In Love that premieres Thursday on Peacock.
‘I’m getting married this Thursday so we have been filming everything from the engagement, planning the wedding , becoming a bride,’ said Paris. ‘It’s been very stressful but the show is so much fun. I can’t wait for you all to watch it.’
Then it was announced that from Kelly Clarkson’s team, the sibling trio a Girl Named Tom and Jeremy Rosado received the most votes and would move on to the next round. Kelly then picked R&B singer Gymani from Georgia to save.

John Legend’s team took that stage next. Texas soul singer Jershika Maple and Joshua Vacanti received the most votes and moved on. John said it was a difficult decision but ultimately chose Shandale Johnson to move on.
Ariana Grande’s team waited on stage to hear their results. Jim and Sasha Allen , a father and son duo from Connecticut, who sang The Beatles song Hey Jude got the top votes and moved on as did Kentucky soul singer Holly Forbes who sang Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn.
Ariana, 28, broke down when she had to choose between her remaining three contestants. She told them that they were ‘so brilliant, the most incredible vocalists and human beings I’ve had the privilege of getting to know and work with.’ She said it was ‘hell’ having to decide but chose Ryleigh Plank who sang Whitney Houston’s I’m Your Baby Tonight to move on.

Blake Shelton’s team held hands on stage as they waited to hear their results. Tennessee singer Wendy Moten who performed Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You got the most votes along with Florida R&B singer Paris Winningham who had performed The Temptations’ Wish It Would Rain.
Blake said that deciding between the remaining artists ‘sucks.’
‘The music industry is tough and all three of you are super talented so you want to keep that in mind,’ said Shelton, 45, who decided to save Lana Scott who sang Carly Pearce’s Next Girl.

Carson then brought out the remaining artist from Team Kelly and revealed that 14-year-old Hailey got the most votes and would compete in the night’s wild card instant save and Katie Rae was sent home.
From Team Legend, soul singer from Indiana Samuel Harness also was told he would be competing in the wild card contest, while David Vogel went home.
From Team Ariana, Long Island pop singer Bella DeNapoli was selected to perform in the wildcard instant save and Raquel Trinidad went home. From Team Blake, 19-year-old retro-pop singer Peedy Chavis from Georgia moved on to the wildcard round and Libianca, from Minnesota went home.

The Comeback artist selected by the viewers was revealed to be Vaughn S. Mugol, a registered nurse, from team Ariana .
In the Wild Card round, Samuel Harness from Team Legend sang Lewis Capaldi’s Before You Go. John told him that he was ‘incredible tonight’ and ‘pitch perfect.’
Team Ariana’s member Bella Denapoli sang Ain’t No Other Man and Ariana told her that her performance was ‘phenomenal.’

‘America I need you to whip out your devices and get busy,’ said Ariana. ‘America whip it out and get busy for Bella Denapoli.’
Team Blake’s Peedy Chavis sang Stranger In My House by Tamia Valmont. Blake said he was so good and kept showing more layers of what he could do.
Comeback artist Vaughn Mugol performed Lay Me Down by Sam Smith. Ariana told him that he had never sounded better.
‘Seeing you back tonight is such a spectacular gift,’ said Ariana.
The Voice will return next Monday on ABC.
