Mitch added: ‘Even if we don’t compete, we’d love to be involved somehow. Even it’s instead of the hipages lever, they pull the Mitch and Mark lever and we just pop up.’

Speaking about their experience on the series, the stylish granddads revealed that the experience has been life-changing for them.

‘We haven’t had time to catch our breath. It’s been such a crazy ride to say that we’ve won The Block is still strange,’ they said.

The pair recently expressed their interest in becoming judges on Nine’s renovation show, after accusing the experts of being ‘out of touch’ with buyers.

They confirmed they would accept the job if it were offered, telling Woman’s Day: ‘We would do it if they asked.’

Mitch and Mark pocketed $744,000 on auction day last month, and went on to blast The Block’s judges in a blistering radio interview.

They said Darren Palmer, Neale Whitaker and Shaynna Blaze weren’t qualified to estimate how much a home will sell for at auction.

They asked for a ‘real estate expert’ to be hired next year.

They told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this month results prove the judges don’t always get it right, because the Packham twins’ won second place.

The Sydney-based couple suggested producers hire someone who can properly assess how renovations will impact the sale price because Darren, Neale and Shaynna simply ‘aren’t good predictors of success’.

‘The two houses, ours and the boys, that came first and second are not the houses the judges considered the best,’ Mark said on the show.
