While a major financial update is expected from the Chancellor on March 3, people might have to wait a little longer to find out the full extent of impact on taxes.
Eddie Grant, tax expert at St James’s Place, told Express.co.uk: “This could be a Budget of two halves, some immediate announcements on Wednesday, March 3 and then Tax Consultations to be announced on March 23.
“There is an expectation that the Chancellor will consider stealth measures which raise revenue without taxpayers noticing.
“The freezing of allowances, exemptions and reliefs tax future income and gains without raising tax rates which attract headlines.
“These measures will increase the number of taxpayers and higher rate taxpayers.”
