Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse teaser trailer shows Miles Morales pulled into the multiverse

The first teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One) was released Saturday at the 2021 CCXP convention in Brazil.

The new footage shows Miles Morales (who has taken over the mantle of Spider-Man from Peter Parker) as he’s whisked back into the multiverse by an alternate-dimension version of Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld).

The teaser also promises more animated Spider-Man films to come, as the next film is just ‘part one’ of Across The Spider-Verse.

The teaser opens with Miles (voiced by Shameik Moore) lying in bed listening to music when he’s awakened by the voice of Gwen.

She stands above him looking down through a candy-colored portal that has been opened between his universe and hers.

‘You got a minute?’ she asks before jumping down into his bedroom.

He anxiously tries to hide all of his childhood toys as she inspects his room.

‘My dorm room is very adult,’ he tells her as she opens his sketch book to a drawing he made of her.

‘I missed you, too,’ she teases him.

‘What are you doing here? I mean, I thought I’d never see you again,’ Miles confesses.

She ignores him and takes a seat at his open window.

‘Wanna get out of here?’

He bashfully admits that he’s grounded, but that doesn’t seem to concern Gwen as she flips out of the window.

But when Miles pops his head out, she’s standing on the side of the building with her hood and mask on.

‘Is Spider-Man grounded?’ she asks, and after a pregnant pause Miles is seen flying through a kaleidoscopic portal into another universe.

But as he tumbles through a vibrant cityscape, a much larger figure in a similar Spider-Man suit zooms out of another portal and begins attacking him in mid-air.

The new figure, apparently Spider-Man 2099 (to be played by Oscar Isaac), was teased in the end-credits scene for the original Into The Spider-Verse.

He uses a device on his wrist to transport him to another world, only for his foe to be teleported with him as he grabs on to his torso.

The two duke it out above what looks like a floating highway before the trailer cuts to black.
