Throw that rom-com in the trash and flip on a fierce flick. Want your other single friends to join in on the empowering entertainment? Host a virtual Netflix or Hulu party so that you and your pals can take part while still staying distant. If a cozy day in is just what you need, cuddle up with an exciting new book. If you’re looking for something dating-related, dating coach Logan Ury has penned “How to Not Die Alone: The Surprising Science That Will Help You Find Love.” The book, out now aims to help readers find their dating “blind spots,” Ury told USA TODAY in an interview earlier this month.
Connect with yourself through meditation
Show yourself some love by getting close with your thoughts and feelings. Meditation apps like Headspace and Simple Habit can help users check in with themselves and relieve stress.
Looking for something solely self-love focused? Digital Deepak, an app created by Dr. Deepak Chopra and the AI Foundation, is releasing a day of programming focused on self-love on Feb. 14, which is set to include morning meditation and a yoga practice focused on connecting to the source of love.
Put your love on paper
You don’t need a significant other to write a love letter – be your own special someone!
Donna Cardillo, nurse, motivational speaker and author of “Falling Together – How to Find Balance, Joy and Meaningful Change When Your Life Seems to Be Falling Apart,” suggests writing a love letter to yourself this year.
“Be sure to include yourself in spreading around the love. Start with an endearing salutation, praise and recognize your life and value and sign it with affection,” she writes.
