Simon Rimmer makes change to Sunday Brunch recipes after leaving viewers 'frustrated'


Sunday Brunch presenter and chef, Simon Rimmer, 57, has revealed that recipes from the show are now available on his website, after an announcement on social media. Before the change, viewers had been left “frustrated” at the accessibility of the Channel 4 show’s recipes and had taken to social media to air their views on the matter.

Taking to Instagram, the chef revealed the good news to his 153,000 followers.

Alongside a picture of a salmon traybake, Simon posted the positive caption.

He wrote: “I know lots of you get frustrated that @SundayBrunchC4 recipes are only on Insta.

“Well good news you can now get them (from 3 weeks ago and moving forward) on my website www.simonrimmer.co.uk – you’re welcome.”

Another fan of the show agreed, adding: “Most of them are on the Sunday Brunch Instagram feed, but not the cake. It’s so frustrating that they don’t have a simple recipe listing website”, along with an emoji of a woman shrugging.

Another social media user tweeted: “@SundayBrunchC4 @simonrim @timlovejoy where can i get your recipes apart from on instagram please? #SundayBrunch”.

The Channel 4 favourite’s announcement came just days after he revealed his 12-restaurant empire got started after an Only Fools and Horses-style con.

Despite having no culinary experience at the time, the presenter revealed he and his business partner Simon Connolly pulled off a Rodney and Del Boy-inspired plan in a bid to get funding.

The culinary chef attempted to be a wheeler-dealer and convinced his bank to lend him money to open his first restaurant, Greens in Manchester, back in 1990 with his business partner.

Simon said: “Like all good entrepreneurs, we lied to a bank!

“Simon and I had an Only Fools And Horses-style business plan – ‘This time next year, Rodders, we’ll be millionaires in our 28-cover BYO vegetarian restaurant in a south Manchester suburb!’”

The culinary expert now boasts a £25million empire of 12 restaurants.
