Sam Frost back on set at Home and Away after controversial vaccine stance


Sam Frost was hard at work on the set of Home and Away on Tuesday. 

The former Bachelorette, 32, filmed scenes at Palm Beach, NSW, along with her co-stars Luke Van Os and Harley Bonner. 

The actress appeared relaxed and happy, laughing and joking with her fellow actors as filming was underway.

Sam wore a sorbet orange mini-dress and crossbody bag, while going barefoot on the sand. 

She was all smiles as she strolled along running lines, and was playful between takes.     

The on-set appearance comes after Sam confirmed she would be temporarily written off Home and Away while she waited to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

It follows a remarkable backdown from the reality TV star after initially maintaining she would not be getting the jab. 

The saga began when Sam shared a video to Instagram last month in which she tearfully admitted she was unvaccinated. 

The former reality star had deactivated her Instagram account on October 9, shortly after revealing in the emotional video that her mental health had suffered as a result of other people ‘judging’ her over her lack of jab.

The actress, who has played Jasmine Delaney on Home and Away since 2017, called for less judgement towards unvaccinated Australians.

She said: ‘I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation.’ 

Her video caused a great deal of controversy, mainly because of her use of the word ‘segregation’ when referring to the way society ‘judges’ unvaccinated people.

A Seven spokesperson said shortly afterwards: ‘Seven strongly encourages vaccination for all our people and all Seven productions strictly adhere to the public health Covid-19 safe protocols.

‘All Home and Away cast and crew also undertake Covid-19 testing three times a week in addition to other preventative measures. 

‘Sam Frost continues to work on Home and Away and follows the safety protocols in place.’

Sam returned to Instagram on October 27and thanked her loved ones, including her colleagues, and said she’d been inundated with ‘support and love’.

Her character, nurse Jasmine, will be ‘written out temporarily’ until she’s double vaxxed. 

‘I’m not leaving Home and Away. I’ve got a medical procedure booked in for January. So, I won’t be fully vaccinated until mid-late February,’ she said on Instagram. 

‘I will be written out temporarily, Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks, but I’ll be back.’
