Royal with most popular smile according to experts – and it's not the Queen

Canadian dental care experts Altima Dental analysed the number of Google searches for British royal family members containing the terms “smile” and “teeth”. In this way, they discovered the top five most popular royal smiles.

It is this naturality that is reportedly the secret to Kate’s endearing smile.

Dr Fillion’s friend and fellow dentist, Bernard Touati, told The Times in 2011: “You know why they look so good? Because they are not absolutely aligned.

“The problem in the United States is they have a very artificial vision.

“He did some little micro-rotations on Kate Middleton [to produce] something which is natural.

This suggests that she could have had braces or Invisalign to tighten the spaces between her teeth.

This was before her final university years as in her sorority photos from Northwestern University, Illinois, Megha is sporting a flawless, straight-teethed grin.

Prince Harry’s smile comes in third place on the list with an average of 15,000 searches a year.

Most of these – 12,000 searches – are specifically related to the Duke of Success’ teeth alone.

Harry wore braces as an adolescent and, more recently, he reportedly had his teeth whitened.

The fourth most searched for smile belongs to Lady Louise Windsor, with around 10,800 searches, while the Queen comes in fifth place with around 7,800 searches.

A spokesperson for Altima commented on the research, saying: “Dental procedures are frequently necessary to prevent more serious issues in the long run, and even the royal family is not immune to that.

“It is interesting to see such influential individuals embrace treatments such as braces and veneers, and it hopefully encourages others to take care of their smiles.”
