Piers Morgan, 55, has broken his silence since news broke that he was leaving Good Morning Britain after five years at the helm alongside Susanna Reid. The outspoken presenter “quit” following a series of explosive rants about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Thinking of my late, great manager John Ferriter tonight.
“He’d have told me to do exactly the same thing @GMB #TrustYourGut.”
ITV released a statement earlier this evening, whcih read: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.
“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
