ITV star Phillip Schofield has been presenting the popular game show 5 Gold Rings since 2017, but the hit show is reported to have been cancelled by the broadcaster. Bosses are said to have decided not to recommission the programme for another series due to filming struggles amid the coronavirus pandemic.
5 Gold Rings is being dropped from the ITV schedule after four series on the air.
The popular programme has been presented by Phillip since it launched on the channel in 2017.
He’s fronted a new six episode series of the show every year since it began on ITV.
However, it’s now been reported ITV won’t be moving further with another series of 5 Gold Rings.

Speaking about 5 Gold Rings, the insider said: “This show has been a fantastic success for ITV, but the current climate has made things very tough indeed.
“TV production is extremely difficult while the virus is still around. That means some shows have to be dropped,” they told Daily Star.
It is also thought in-demand TV host Phillip was struggling to fit the show into his busy presenting schedule.
He’s one of the busiest stars on TV as he fronts numerous popular shows for ITV.
The presenter currently hosts This Morning, Dancing on Ice, The Cube and consumer show How To Spend It Well.
He’s been a presenter on This Morning since 2002, initially alongside Fern Britton before co-hosting with Holly Willoughby.
Phillip and Holly are currently taking a break from the hit ITV show for the summer holidays and as a result husband and wife presenting duo Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have taken their place.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
