Novak Djokovic has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters after his third-round opponent was forced to withdraw. The world No 1 was set to take on home favourite Gael Monfils in the third-round on Thursday (November 4) but the Frenchman withdrew just hours before the pair were due to take to the court. The world No 22 announced he would be getting an x-ray following his victory over countryman Adrian Mannarino on Wednesday (November 3) and has now pulled out ahead of his clash with Djokovic, giving the top seed a walkover.
