Novak Djokovic survives scare vs Marton Fucsovics to reach third round of Paris Masters

After both players held serve at the beginning of the final set, Djokovic was under pressure at 15-30, but rallied back to hold serve, letting out a roar of delight after going 2-1 ahead.

This revitalised Djokovic, who played a magnificent return game to break Fucsovics’ serve and stormed out to a 3-1 lead.

But the 29-year-old kept going for his shots from the baseline and stayed defensively solid to earn a break back in the next game.

It appeared as though the pressure got to Fucsovics, as untimely unforced errors and a double fault resulted in break points for Djokovic, and at the fifth time of asking, Djokovic took his chance and went 4-2 up.
