Norwich's brutal Daniel Farke sacking could be great news for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel

The likes of Chris Wilder, John Terry and Lucien Favre are all supposedly in the running for the hotseat, which has barely had a chance to cool down after Farke’s dismissal.

Gilmour, who is highly rated by the Chelsea faithful, was given his debut by Frank Lampard in 2019 and appeared in the top-flight three times last campaign under Tuchel.

With the Blues’ midfield clogged up by the likes of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, both on the Ballon d’Or shortlist, it was seen as essential that the Scottish international found a temporary home to continue his development.

It recently emerged, as reported by The Athletic, that Tuchel had been in touch with Farke over Gilmour’s lack of action.
