Murder looks to be last thing on Jodie Comer's mind as she films final scenes with co-star Sandra Oh

Still set on killing Eve? You’d better get a move on! Murder looks to be last thing on Jodie Comer’s mind as she films final scenes with co-star Sandra Oh

They have spent three years pursuing each other in an obsessive and deadly cat-and-mouse game – but when assassin Villanelle gets her hands on MI5 agent Eve Polastri, murder seems far from her mind.

Instead, these exclusive pictures from the set of series four of Killing Eve show the hitwoman, as played by Jodie Comer, placing a hand softly on the waist of Sandra Oh’s intelligence officer as she peers through a tourist telescope.

Between the scenes being shot near London’s Tower Bridge, 28-year-old Ms Comer looks relaxed and happy, even if she seems to be wearing a dowdy boiler suit far removed from her character’s usually outlandish outfits.

But it is actually a high-end trouser and bomber jacket combo from designer Helmut Lang, costing more than £1,000.

Ms Comer recently said that her psychopathic character ‘dresses for herself’ and described the wardrobe choices as ‘loud and a little mismatched’.

These pictures were taken during the final days of filming for the next series of the BBC thriller, which is set to be the last.

Some of the scenes, thought to be destined for the concluding episode, were filmed on the Dixie Queen paddle-steamer, which usually plays host to parties and conferences on the water.

One onlooker told The Mail on Sunday: ‘There was a real upbeat feeling on set – a sense that everyone has had a wonderful few years and they are finishing in the most fantastic way.’

The riverside scenes have parallels with the end of the third series, when Eve and Villanelle hold hands on a bridge looking out across London.

They make a pact to walk away and never see each other again, but both stop walking and turn around to look back at each other.

A recent clip released on Twitter and entitled ‘Our lips are sealed. Mostly’ shows the central characters apparently in disguise, including a shot of Eve wearing a short blonde wig and sunglasses.

Ms Comer recently expressed her delight that the series will finish on a high, telling Harper’s Bazaar: ‘I would rather we ended on a good note and kept our integrity, instead of going on and on, and being kicked out the door.’
