Mo Salah sends Liverpool clear contract message as he discusses Klopp's role in decision

The interview couldn’t have made for better hearing for Liverpool fans, as Salah also waved away any claims that he could leave the club, as although he claimed he was ‘happy’ to be linked with Barcelona, he wanted to stay in the Premier League as it is the ‘strongest league’ in his eyes.

Liverpool have to get a deal done as Salah has been their best player since arriving in 2017, and it’s a small price to pay for what the Egyptian gives back to the club.

It may slightly disrupt their wage structure, but an exception can be made for one of the best players in the world, and seeing him join a European rival could be costly further down the line.

Liverpool will be hoping to reach a decision by the end of the season, otherwise it could be a stressful situation as Salah enters the final 12 months of his deal.
