Western Sydney radio hosts Mike Etheridge and Emma Chow have left The Edge after hosting the Mike E & Emma breakfast show for 11 years.

The popular duo decided to leave the station after wrapping their final show last Friday, ARN (formerly Australian Radio Network) announced on Monday.

They had entertained listeners in the west and beyond since 2011 with their unique mix of fun banter and celebrity guests, all while playing the best beats around.

For over 10 years they have laughed, cried and always been real with their listeners, while helping to break new artists and supporting new music.

During their time at The Edge, Mike E & Emma grew the station into one of the best under-the-radar youth brands in Australia.

No trend was missed as they entertained their audiences, taking on dares and challenges, and poking fun at themselves and each other on a daily basis.

Everything from blind-folded pillow fights, workout challenges and even a radio wedding.

Mike E and Emma said in a statement: ‘It’s very bittersweet saying goodbye to The Edge, which has been our home for 11 wild years.

‘We’re incredibly proud of the show we have created and the audience we have built, but it’s time to grow and evolve. We’re really excited about the next chapter of our broadcasting career and look forward to sharing it with you in 2022!’
