Meghan Markle and the Queen mocked on Have You Been Paying Attention

Aussie comedian shocks with brutal joke about the Queen’s TRUE feelings towards Meghan Markle on Have You Been Paying Attention

The cast of Australian comedy show Have You Been Paying Attention? have never shied away from poking fun at the royal family.

And Meghan Markle was the butt of the joke yet again on Monday night’s episode – this time over rising tensions between the Sussexes and Queen Elizabeth II.

Comedian Fifi Box couldn’t help but take a cheeky swipe at Meghan after quizmaster Tom Gleisner played a clip from the Queen’s welcome speech at the recent United Nations Climate Change Conference.

‘I could not be more proud of them’, the Queen told the camera in the short clip.

”Proud of them’. Proud of who?’ Tom asked the panel.

Fifi was quick to push her buzzer, responding: ‘Meghan Markle’s trolls.’

The audience burst into laughter, as Tom jokingly replied: ‘She’s unleashed them!’

Comedian Ed Kavalee finally gave the correct answer, explaining: ‘Well, this was spicy, because she thanked Prince Charles and then Prince William for their efforts in conservation, but didn’t thank Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.’

The Sussexes are long-time environmental advocates, with Harry recently saying climate change is one of ‘the most pressing issues we are facing’.

Harry most recently spoke about climate change in September when he hosted Global Citizens Live in New York.

However, despite the couple’s advocacy, the Queen made no mention of them in her welcome speech at the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

In her address, the 95-year-old praised her late husband Prince Philip, who died in April this year, before heaping praise on her son Prince Charles and grandson Prince William for championing the climate issue.

‘It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband paid in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William,’ the Queen said.

‘I could not be more proud of them.’
