Each week Matt Tebbutt welcomes a guest onto Saturday Kitchen as he is keen to find out about their latest projects and news. On Saturday he welcomed BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt but he didn’t get a chance to ask many of his questions as the presenters threw the show into chaos by taking over hosting duties. The pair left Matt in despair as they joked about the quality of his questions and insisted guest chef Yotam Ottolenghi should take over as host.
“You’ve had a tough year, to read for three and a half to four hours a day, reading that news, it’s pretty hard going. How do you get away from that?” Matt began.
Charlie hit back: “You’ve really brought the tone down haven’t you? I thought it was going to be something like ‘What’s it like getting up early in the morning?’”
Looking down the camera, Naga addressed viewers: “For everyone who has turned off from the news and kind of wanted a bit of relaxation, don’t tune in to Saturday Kitchen, it’s just not worth it.
“Yotam is going to take over and then it will be loads better.”

Matt then begged the pair: “Can we just focus on the food please!”
It came after Naga joked Saturday Kitchen was “better” without Matt after he joked he was leaving the show.
Introducing the show, Naga told viewers: “The best thing is, we have Yotam Ottolenghi here as well.”
Matt laughed: “I’ll let you introduce him,” before throwing his hands in the air and pretending to leave the studio.
Naga wasn’t fazed as she swiped: “Matt, honestly, it’s better without you anyway.
“So, we’ve got Yotam here and you’re going to dish up some amazing things for us.”
Yotam revealed: “Charlie thinks it’s a restaurant here. He just asked for a menu.”
“Are you going to be doing all of the cooking,” Charlie asked with Yotam confirming Matt would be helping out.
Saturday Kitchen airs Saturday on BBC One at 10am.
