Love Island Australia star shocks in sheer dress and 'knicker sticker'

Love Island Australia star shocks onlookers in skimpy sheer dress that leaves VERY little to the imagination – and admits she had to wear a ‘knicker sticker’ to protect her modesty

Cassidy McGill left little to the imagination at Wednesday’s STAX launch party.

The Love Island Australia star dared to bare in a plunging semi-sheer dress, and told her Instagram followers about one extremely intimate element of her ensemble.

‘I wore a knicker sticker for the first time this night,’ she told her 400,000 followers, referring to stick-on underwear.

She then disclosed that the experience was ‘was equally exhilarating as it was horrifying’.

Adhesive underwear is often worn as a way to prevent any visible panty lines.

The candid moment comes after McGill broke down in tears in September when a follower messaged her to thank her for making them feel confident.

Responding to a bikini-clad photo of the 27-year-old, the fan wrote: ‘We kind of have the same body type and I’m always insecure of my body.

‘You being confident with your own body kind of gives me the confidence too. You’re an inspiration.’

Cassidy explained that she took offence to the message.

‘In these stories I said nothing or drew no attention to my “confidence” by being in a bikini in front of you guys,’ she wrote in her rant.

‘Reading this makes me think “well if you’re insecure and we’ve got the same body type, then I have something to be insecure about?” Because otherwise you’d love your body too?’

‘Calling me confident for showing my body isn’t a compliment, it portrays the idea I’m doing something brave? I’m having a hard time trying to explain how this upsets me, but it does.’

Cassidy then shared a video of herself crying and said she would rather people didn’t reach out to her to tell her she inspires them with body confidence.

Back in December 2020, Cassidy said her experience with trolls made her become excessive about diet and exercise, and as a result she dropped from a size 10 to a size six.

But despite drastically slimming down, she still found herself being body shamed online – and this taught her an ‘earth-shattering lesson’.

‘On Love Island I was labelled the plus-size girl (by the public). I was a size 10… This rocked me to my core,’ Cassidy explained.
