Louise Redknapp left red-faced over unearthed BRIT Awards pictures 'Never again!'

Singer-songwriter Louise Redknapp, 46, admitted her embarrassment as she uploaded throwback pictures of herself and Gary Barlow, 50, presenting at the 1997 BRIT Awards, which saw her sport a questionable hairdo. The former Eternal star and Take That heartthrob presented the International Newcomer statuette

The star took to Twitter to share the cringe-worthy “flashbacks” with her 139,100 followers.

She wrote: “Flashback it back to the Brit Awards with the lovely @GaryBarlow.

“Please can you all remind me to NEVER wear my hair like this again to the @BRITs!!!”

The hilarious throwback posts saw the R&B singer with her dark brown hair a tight, cork-screw style perm.

She also donned a white dress and heels while her co-host Gary was dressed much more informally in a striped polo-neck shirt.

Louise’s followers were quick to point out the similarities between her and the main character from 80’s film Dirty Dancing.

One wrote: “I thought you were Jenifer Grey, back in the day for a moment.”

While another added: “No one puts baby in the corner”, complete with a winking face and GIF of Jennifer famously dancing across the bridge.

“It breaks my heart to say I am having to take some time out and won’t be able to continue with my role in 9-5,” the former Eternal star wrote on Instagram.

“Due to a nasty fall, I have only gone and fractured my wrist and got 10 (yes 10) stitches in my chin.”

In 2016 Louise reached the final in the 14th series of BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing, which saw her paired with Kevin Clifton.

However, the singer lost out to TV and radio presenter Ore Oduba and professional dancer Joanne Clifton in the final.

Just days ago Louise took to the picture-sharing app to commemorate her friend Caroline Flack on the one year anniversary of her death.

The singer wrote: “I hate that I have to post a picture of you rather than being able to give you a call!

“I’ll forever miss our Friday night club and the laughs and good times we had – at a time I really needed a lift for that I’ll forever be grateful.”

Louise ended the tribute by urging her fans and followers to “be kind”.

“I really hope everybody remembers that kindness is so important… in a world where you can be anything BE KIND!”
